Oh look, an entire month went by and I didn’t post once.
As I said in my October wrap-up, I started to go through a phase where reading wasn’t sparking much joy, and that period stretched out into November. This is fine, I have other non-book hobbies that I tend to hyperfixate on at least a few months out of the year. But when my four-day Thanksgiving weekend rolled around, absolutely nothing gave me more joy than devouring category romances—I read like 16 books in those 4 days. (As I said, I tend to hyperfixate on things.)
So! There you have it. I started November being all “bleh” about books and now I’m attempting to engulf every single cheesy Christmas Harlequin my library has.

What’s coming next?
Well. As I write this, I’m about 20 books away from reading 200 books total in 2020, so probably I’ll just continue to mainline category romances until I hit that. (It’s the first time since I started law school that I’ve been able to read so many books, which is nice.)
If I can accomplish that (or if I get tired of romance), I’d like to read some of the “thicker” sci-fi/fantasy releases I missed out on this year, since I apparently only decided I even like reading SFF in August. So much to read, so very little time left to read it in.

My library goes through phases of purchasing a ton of Harlequin Romances, then none for months and months, then suddenly a ton! But it’s still a pretty small collection, which I’d like to tackle sometime. I’m glad you’re finding joy in these! 😀
