It’s April! And this post is a taaaaad bit later than I wanted.
Due to being…neuroatypical *waves hands* I lost interest in reading a bit towards the end of March because I spontaneously decided to write an 80,000 word fanfic about lower class, mixed-race Gondorians in the decades following conclusion of The Lord of the Rings—and I absolutely could not think about anything until said story was complete. (Not to worry, I finished the damn thing and probably won’t write any fanfic again until 2023.)
I did still read some books last month, though!
All that being said, here’s my March 2022 retrospective, featuring statistics, goals check-in, and more!

March Bookish Goal Check-in
I’m doing a new thing this year where I pick 5 books off my to-read list every month and try to prioritize them. Let’s see what books I picked for March 2022 and how it all went.

— The Ones We’re Meant to Find by Joan He — read 03/12/2022
— My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite — read 03/28/2022
— Persephone Station by Stina Leicht — read 03/09/2022
— Follow Me to Ground by Sue Rainsford — read 03/06/2022
— The Mountains Sing by Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai — not read
OVERALL SCORE: 4/5 books read!
All the April books!
And here’s a an overview of all the pretty books I read this month:

And that was March 2022!
Oh I love the idea of picking specific books for a specific month. Maybe I can do that too, except with TBR books I physically own. I just finished a book from my own shelves this weekend, and today I am shipping it off to a PaperbackSwap person, and it feels so good. (I enjoyed it but not enough to want to reread.)
Wow kudos. I don’t think I’ve written fanfic since the year 2000!
