July Prospectus: New Releases, Reading Plans, Etc.

June 30, 2022

It’s almost July!

Today I’m sharing some sharing some sort-of goals I want to achieve this upcoming month, as a way to be organized and intentional with my reading.

Here’s my July 2022 Prospectus, a collection of books I’d like to read over the next 4(ish) weeks and also some new books releasing soon which I will maybe-probably-eventually tackle…at some point.

5 Books I’d Like To Read This Month

This portion of my prospectus is on hiatus this month.

New July Books I’m Curious About

These aren’t books I necessarily plan on reading this month, but it’s always fun to look at the new and shiny releases and see which ones you want to stalk the library for. So here’s a collection of books releasing in July 2022 that I’m potentially interested in reading:

The Darkening by Sunya Mara

Fantasy
July 5, 2022

Vesper Vale is the daughter of revolutionaries. Failed revolutionaries. When her mother was caught by the queen’s soldiers, they gave her a choice: death by the hangman’s axe, or death by the Storm that surrounds the city and curses anyone it touches. She chose the Storm. And when the queen’s soldiers—led by a paranoid prince—catch up to Vesper’s father after twelve years on the run, Vesper will do whatever it takes to save him from sharing that fate.

Quiet, grumpy, and handsome, Varro watches her with hot eyes but ignores all of her flirting, so Kee vows to keep her feelings strictly platonic. But that vow will be put to the test when she and Varro are forced to leave the safety of their ship and venture into enemy territory alone.

The sleepy little farm that Laurel grew up on has awakened. The woods are shifting, the soil is dead under her hands, and her bone pile just stood up and walked away.
